Cigarette Regulatory in Indonesia is very no tight. Why? Is not a contrario condition compared in Europe and USA?
In Indonesia, Government has full interest with Cigarette company. “Cukai Rokok”-is called in Indonesian Language (Bahasa Indonesia) or Special Tax is the biggest profit center for government;
The biggest tax payer, person or company; both of them are come from Cigarette Industrialist;
Halim Family, Poetra Sampoerna Family are Indo-chinesse with the long history of the biggest tax payer in this country.

The most potential industrial sector in Indonesia is cigarette. Smoke business in Indonesia is very-very huge market value; If any person told you that Banking sector or Telecommunication sector are the first and the best business in Indonesia, it is not completed true.
Bank Central Asia,Tbk, the biggest private bank in Indonesia owned Farralon Company. Do you know who is Farralon? In the back layer of this company, Djarum Kudus, the Big Three of Cigarette Company in Indonesia is the majority share owner.
On the other hand, the best Djarum’s competitor, H.M.Sampoerna (Djie Sam Soe owner) was bought by Phillip Morris (Marlboro owner), with values of transaction more than 2 billion US dollars.
